Traveling to Mexico: How to Plan the Perfect Itinerary
It is a good idea to bring some warm layers with you when traveling to Mexico, especially to cities with higher altitudes like Mexico City, Oaxaca City, Puebla and San Cristobal de Las Casas. Temperatures can drop significantly and you will need to dress accordingly. It is also a good idea to pack some sunblock with SPF 30 or above and sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from the strong Mexican sun.
It is a good idea to practice your bargaining skills when shopping in the markets and street vendors. Haggling is a normal part of the purchasing process and a few extra pesos can mean a lot to these local businesses. In addition, remember that most places in Mexico do not have the facilities to flush toilet paper and it is best to pack a small roll of tissue in your bag at all times.
